Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

HakeemX (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit hakeemx.com or use the HakeemX mobile app (together, the “Service”). Because HakeemX helps you understand your symptoms, some of the information involved is health information, and we’ve tried to be specific and plain about how it’s handled rather than relying on generic language.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

To use the app, you create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google. We store your email address and a unique account identifier. If you contact us through the website, we also collect the name and email you provide.

Health profile information

When you set up a profile in the app (for yourself or a family member you’re managing), we collect age, gender, height, weight, and any chronic conditions you choose to list. You can create more than one profile under a single account — for example, to track symptoms for a child or another family member.

Symptom check-in data

When you run a symptom check, we collect the symptom you selected and your answers to the follow-up questions, along with the AI-generated analysis produced for that check (possible causes, suggested home remedies, and prevention tips). This is saved to your account’s history so you can review past check-ins and see how a symptom has changed over time.

Location data

If you use the “find nearby hospital” or “find a specialist” feature, the app requests your device’s location at that moment to open a maps search near you. We do not store this location — it’s used only to build that one search and is not saved to our servers or linked to your account.

Usage and device data (website)

When you visit hakeemx.com, we may collect pages visited, time on site, browser type, and device information via analytics tools, in order to understand how the website is used.

Cookies

The website uses small files (“cookies”) stored on your device to support basic site functionality and analytics. The mobile app does not use browser cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate an AI-based analysis of possible causes, home remedies, and prevention tips for the symptoms you report
  • Save your check-in history so you can review past results and compare how a symptom has changed between visits
  • Let you manage profiles for multiple family members under one account
  • Send you reminders or comparison notifications, if you’ve enabled them
  • Respond to messages, feedback, and support requests
  • Understand how the website and app are used and improve them over time
  • Maintain the security of accounts and investigate reported problems, such as a flagged question
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI-Powered Symptom Analysis

To generate your results, your symptom answers and the relevant profile details (age, gender, height, weight, and any listed conditions) are sent to a third-party AI provider — primarily Google’s Gemini API, with OpenAI’s API used as a backup if Gemini is unavailable. We do not send your name, email, or any other identifying information to these AI providers as part of that request — only the clinical details needed to produce an analysis.

To reduce cost and response time, we cache AI-generated results for reuse when a different user enters a closely matching combination of symptom, answers, and a coarse profile signature (a broad age range, gender, and whether any condition is listed — not your specific age or condition). These cached entries are not linked to your account or identity and cannot be traced back to you.

AI-generated results are provided for general informational purposes only and are not a medical diagnosis. See Section 12 for our full medical disclaimer.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of service providers to run HakeemX. We don’t sell your data.

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database storage, and account management for the app
  • Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email and account identifier from Google to create or match your HakeemX account
  • Google Gemini API — processes your symptom answers and profile details to generate your results, as described in Section 3
  • OpenAI API — used only as a fallback if Gemini is unavailable, under the same conditions described in Section 3
  • Website analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) — may collect anonymised data about how hakeemx.com is used, subject to their own privacy policies

These providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international data transfers.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your account and health profile data is stored in Firebase (Firestore), protected by access rules that restrict your data to your own account. Data is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 8), we permanently remove your profiles, symptom history, notifications, and any question reports you’ve filed. Cached AI results (Section 3) are not personal data and are not linked to your account, so they are not affected by account deletion. Website feedback submissions are not linked back to a readable, identifiable record and are retained separately from your account.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. You can update most profile details directly in the app. For anything else, contact us at info@hakeemx.com.

8. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This removes your profiles, symptom history, notifications, and question reports, and deletes your account itself. This action cannot be undone.

9. Children’s Privacy

HakeemX accounts are intended for use by adults. A parent or guardian may create a profile within their own account to track symptoms for a child in their care, but we do not knowingly allow children to create their own HakeemX account or interact with the Service unsupervised. If you believe a child has created an account directly, contact us at info@hakeemx.com and we will take appropriate action.

10. Medical Disclaimer

All content on HakeemX — including AI-generated symptom analysis — is for general health awareness and educational purposes only. It is not a medical diagnosis and is not intended to replace professional medical advice, examination, or treatment. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider with questions about a medical condition, and seek emergency care immediately if your symptoms are severe.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically as the Service changes. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above whenever we do.
